Introduction
Fellowship of LOTR (“the App”, “Service”) is a commercial mobile application developed and operated by Agile Conqueror Company, represented by Hakan Çevik (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App on Android devices. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. Terms not defined in this policy have the meaning given in our Terms of Use.
Information We Collect
Information you provide locally on your device
- Journal / archive entries (text, optional photos, optional audio recordings)
- App preferences (theme, language, notification settings, gameplay progress)
- In-app currency balance, unlocked content, and mission progress
This content is stored primarily on your device (local database and preferences). We do not operate a user account server that stores your journal entries on our own backend.
Device permissions
- Internet — analytics, crash reporting, ads, in-app purchases, and image search
- Camera — optional photos for journal entries (only when you choose to use it)
- Microphone — optional audio notes for journal entries (only when you choose to use it)
- Notifications — optional daily reminders and mission alerts (if enabled)
- Billing — processed through Google Play for subscriptions and in-app purchases
Automatically collected information
When you use the App, we and our service providers may collect diagnostic and usage data, such as:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Crash logs and performance data
- General usage events (e.g., screens viewed, features used, gameplay events)
- Purchase and subscription status (via our billing provider)
- Advertising-related data when you view rewarded ads (via Google AdMob)
We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, or phone number through the App itself. If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to send.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
- Process in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Deliver rewarded advertisements and grant in-app rewards where applicable
- Measure app performance, diagnose crashes, and understand feature usage
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. These providers process data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)
- Google AdMob
- RevenueCat (subscriptions & purchases)
- Pixabay (optional image search in the journal feature)
When you search for images inside the App, your search query is sent to Pixabay’s API to retrieve results. We encourage you to review Pixabay’s privacy policy for details on their data practices.
Advertising & Purchases
The App may show rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Premium subscribers may receive an ad-free or reduced-ad experience depending on the active subscription tier.
Subscriptions and digital purchases are handled by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Data Retention
Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the App, or clear app data. Analytics and crash data retained by third-party providers are governed by their respective retention policies.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information processed through the Service. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
Links & External Content
The App may contain links to external websites or open third-party content (including support pages and legal documents). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Some media assets in the App may be sourced from third-party websites; their data practices are governed by their own policies.
Your Choices
- Disable notifications in your device or in-app settings
- Deny camera or microphone permissions (optional features will be unavailable)
- Manage ad personalization through your device’s Google account / ad settings
- Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data from your device
International Users
If you use the App from outside your country of residence, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
